| The evolving marketplace and economic downturn requires filmmakers to explore innovative ways to get films financed and distributed. I want to share my thoughts since I believe that transparency will have to become part of film culture. In this essay I examine how my professional environment relates to my personal objective. I attempt to manifest an approach to filmmaking that I refer to as advertainment, a distinct convergence between entertainment and advertising. I conclude with ideas about distribution and a strategy that I hope will allow me to progress as an independent film director. |
